About Samantha
I graduated from Southern Connecticut State University in 2020 with a degree in English and creative writing. I also took two years of graduate classes at the University of Bridgeport in English Secondary Education. I have worked with students of many different cultures, learning needs, ages, and skills and pride myself on being able to adapt my lessons and teaching style in a way that will individually benefit you as a student. Something that works for one student, may not work for the next. However, every student is capable of success, so it is up to me as a teacher to figure out how we can get there based on your needs. I have a wide range of skills from working with ESL students, to teaching Shakespeare in a high school . Let me know what you need and I am sure I will be able to help you!

I like to take a very hands on approach with my students. I believe it is important to give students the confidence to try, fail, learn, keep trying and eventually succeed. I like to use a lot of interactive tools and site, videos, activities, and lessons that give thorough examples. I believe in the see/do method, where students are able to watch me or view examples and then try on their own. I have experience working with students from first grade all the way to 12th grade. I am able to revise my lessons to fit the specific needs of every student and continue revising until we find something that works.
