About James
I am a lifelong Humanities student with a degree in History and have been tutoring all age groups since 2020. I studied English Literature and Creative Writing at A Level, and have continued writing short stories and plays during my time at university, along with countless essays and a dissertation for my degree.
Before turning professional, I voluntarily tutored throughout secondary school, giving both lectures and small group sessions, and mentored my younger friends at university whenever I could. I have experience teaching all age groups, and have no trouble adapting to an audience of any size or age.

My primary focus is on achieving high grades without letting the subject become boring. We always perform best in subjects we enjoy, so I strive to deliver the key knowledge and strategies for succeeding in exams/tests/essays etc. without just jumping through hoops.
From personal experience, it's entirely possible to excel in a subject without growing to hate it!
