About Lina
I am an MFA-trained theater practitioner and educator with graduate training at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. I have spent a decade helping students find their voice — on the page, on the stage, and in the room where it counts.
I believe every student already has something worth saying. My job is to help them say it clearly, confidently, and in a way that gets heard.
Whether you are wrestling with an essay, preparing an audition monologue, building your drama technique, or learning English as a new language — I will meet you exactly where you are and help you get where you want to go.

I offer tutoring in:
English Language Arts — reading comprehension, grammar, writing, literary analysis, and essay structure for all grade levels through to university.
Essay Writing — thesis development, argument structure, editing and revision. Whether it is a high school English essay or a university paper, I help students find their argument and say it clearly.
Drama & Performance — scene work, character development, improvisation, voice, and physical theater for students at any level.
Monologue Preparation — audition coaching for students preparing for drama school applications, school productions, or competitive performance. I will help you find the truth in the piece and make it yours.
I work patiently and warmly with students of all ages and experience levels. Sessions are available in-person in Calgary and online via Zoom or at the nearest Calgary Library branch.
