About Jamie
I have been a tutor for 3 years, helping dozens of students. I worked at a university's writing lab helping college students with papers for a variety of subjects. I helped not only with proofreading, but with content, tone, and clarity. Most recently I have worked at Huntington Learning Center where I helped assess students' academic needs.

I have a BA in English from Rider University where I graduated magna cum laude. I have plenty of tutoring experience; I have worked as a writing tutor for college students and have worked at Huntington Learning Center. I help middle and high school students with writing (including organization, content, grammar, and writing strategies) as well as literature (including comprehension, vocabulary, and critical thinking). I believe the most effective English lessons are ones where students can freely share their ideas with guided questions to enforce inference skills and critical thinking.
