About Katia
I have been tutoring now for three years, helping GCSE and A Level students prepare for exams as well as helping university students write the perfect essay.
I am highly familiar with most exam boards, having achieved all A*s in my own GCSEs. In my English Literature A Level I achieved an A* with the specific mark landing in the top 2% nationally. I am passionate about English and am an avid reader and would to impart some of my knowledge to help others love English too. Having achieved top grades in Maths, History and Psychology, I am also able and happy to tutor in these. I look forward to hearing from you!

I believe a student-focused approach is vital. I begin by assessing each student's individual strengths and weaknesses so I can identify which areas to work on. Once I've understood which areas a student is struggling with, I will talk through different ways in which we could work to improve their skills. I am happy to adapt my teaching techniques in any manner, be it mind maps, essay practice or quizzes.
My main focus is exam preparation, although I understand that this may take a different form given the current climate. I believe past papers are an excellent way to practice and will help students work through these at their own pace and ensure I have a copy of the mark schemes at hand each session.
