About Iona
I am an English Literature graduate looking to inspire others and encourage their learning. I have several years of experience teaching students with various skill levels from learning to read to writing essays and producing projects. I can help you with reading, grammar, creativity and essay planning and execution to get you at the level you want to be at! This includes primary education right up to A Level. I can also help with dissertation planning for undergraduate students.

I believe that the best lessons come from understanding our mistakes from a positive perspective. Therefore, my lesson structure is dependent on the needs of each student to create a calm, fun and encouraging environment. However, this could include discussion, practical help (e.g. essay planning and homework help) guidance and classwork assistance, if required.
An example, however, would be to spend the first part of the lesson discussing what you may need guidance with and then providing you with the tools to overcome this. We would discuss various methods and decide which ones work best for you and then apply these to your study or work. For instance, this could be through worksheets, set tasks and practise of your chosen areas.
