About Garrett
Garrett is currently a student at Concordia University in Montreal studying english literature. He was originally born on the east coast but has ended up immigrating all around the world to places like Paris, Copenhagen, Houston, and Calgary before arriving here in Montreal.
Garrett has always had a knack for english literature, even being selected into the Duke TIP (Talent Identification Program) and eventually receiving an award for his performance in english/language arts. While in school it was always his best subject his post-secondary ambitions were in other subjects. He had intent to apply to the sciences until his passion for english literature blossomed during my time in Paris. This interest grew into an obsession, eventually leading him to decide to study english literature in university.

Through the use of detailed lesson plans and study techniques I can provide lessons in reading comprehension, vocabulary, and grammar. I hope to create an environment centred around collaboration and communication, this mentality is more conducive to a safe and efficient work environment. My specialty as a tutor is creating this safe environment where ideas can be exchanged without worry for the harsh judgment of an academic classroom. I aim to create an an environment akin to peers exchanging ideas rather than a teacher and student, reaching an understanding together.

Garrett used to babysit for me a few days a week, when I had homework to do he would sit down with me and do his own work until I had any questions. He would help me through my homework while also keeping a studious environment. During the time Garrett babysat me and helped me with my homework my grades improved and my attitudes towards homework were changed, with him helping me realize working on homework doesn't have to be strenuous.
