About Tara
Hi! I’m Tara, a senior at Greenhill with a deep love for storytelling, writing, and helping others find their voice. Over the years, I’ve grown through AP English, competitive speech, filmmaking, and creative projects that taught me how powerful clear communication can be. I’m someone who thrives on connection—whether I’m directing a performance, crafting an essay, or mentoring peers—and I bring that same energy and empathy into everything I do. I’m passionate about making writing feel approachable rather than intimidating, and I take pride in creating spaces where students feel supported, understood, and confident. Outside of academics, I’m constantly exploring new ways to blend creativity, advocacy, and analysis, and I love using what I’ve learned to help others express themselves with clarity and authenticity.

I’m Tara, a senior at Greenhill, and I tutor English and writing with a clear, supportive, and confidence-building approach that breaks big assignments into manageable steps. My sessions focus on both the mechanics of strong writing—thesis building, organization, clarity, and flow—and the development of authentic voice, something I’ve honed through AP Lang, competitive speech, and creative storytelling. A typical lesson includes setting goals, a quick skill spotlight, hands-on revision, and reflection so students walk away knowing exactly how they improved. What sets me apart is that I’m not just teaching writing—I actively do it, from essays to performances, and I meet students as a peer who understands their challenges. I work with middle and high school students on everything from English class essays to AP-level analysis to college supplements, helping them feel capable, confident, and genuinely proud of their work.
