About Shanti
With a background in the visual arts and English as a Second Language, I have experience teaching and tutoring students of all ages in various subjects so they will attain their educational goals. I have a teaching credential in Art and a Master's degree in Teaching English to Students of Other Languages (TESOL).
I aim to motivate and encourage students to see their goals and then discuss how we can work together and make a plan to attain these educational goals. I also have experience as a life coach which calls for good listening and hence understanding skills. I was a substitute teacher for 3 years before earning my teaching credential where I helped students in various subjects including Science, History, Math, English Language Arts, Art, Physical Education, French and Gardening.
