About Jo
I’ve been an English teacher for 30+ years now and work in a secondary school in the Lakes. I was Head of Drama for 6 years too. I’ve helped hundreds of young people and adults (in Community Learning) gain passes at 4 and above so they can make their next steps in their learning journey. Adult Education passes were 90-100%. My last observation was rated Good with Outstanding Features. I’ve heard that tutoring is really rewarding - in many ways!

I use many past papers to focus on exactly what you need to pass GCSE English Language, whether it’s language features, structure, summarising or improving writing skills for fiction or non-fiction texts. I can support Literature work as well, providing help with whichever texts you are currently studying.
