About Sofia
I am a rising junior at a college prep high school in GA. Since middle school, I have had a passion for english. I won my class oratorical competition in seventh grade, and represented my middle school at an Archdiocesan competition in eight grade. Since then I have been in all Honors and AP classes, been inducted to multiple honor societies, asked to tutor a variety of ages, and made principals list every semester of high school (GPA above 95% with no grade below a 95%). I am confident in my abilities, but most importantly, I am confident that I can help others feel accomplished with their compositions as well.

While writing is mostly subjective and authentic style must be developed rather than taught, certain mechanics for literature are essential to sounding professional and concise. As a passionate writer and speaker, I enjoy guiding my students to come up with solutions themselves. This helps them build their confidence, so that in future situations, they can problem solve and feel accomplished. I'm here to help proofread and start papers and speeches, give pointers for speaking techniques, and teach students about grammar. I've had experience working with kids ages 7-18, so I'm comfortable working with high schoolers and middle schoolers.
