My typical lesson plan consists of advanced vocabulary through definitional learning, synonyms and antonyms, and the connotation and rhetoric of the word. Next, we move on to advanced reading activities to test comprehension levels. Last, I have students commit to speaking activities about everyday topics and interview questions.
I tailor my lesson to the needs of my students. If I notice a segment is not working or the student mentions specific needs, I will adapt my lesson to reflect them.
