I spent a whole year teaching and tutoring students from Mexico, Honduras, and Guatemala. My teaching method is about catering the lessons to your learning style whether it is kinesthetic, reading, auditory, visual or other. I use fun and interesting communicative games and activities that make learning fun but also are based on NC standards. I also use data collection to see where knowledge gaps lie and accordingly amend my lesson to fill the gaps.
