About Jane
A lot is happening in our world today, and I believe that we can teach/learn tolerance, acceptance, and interculturality through language teaching. I found my calling in teaching English as a Second or Other Language and want to share my passion with you! I have an MA degree in Professional Language and Intercultural Studies from a university in the UK, and an M.S.Ed. degree in Teaching English as a Second or Other Language. I majored in French and lived in France for two years, as well (Oui, je parle Français!). I currently work as a high school ESL teacher, and I teach pre-college reading and writing to multilingual students on the side. Let's learn together!

My lessons begin by building a strong foundation of oral language skills upon which to build literacy skills. Depending on your interests/needs, we will use a range of exercises, games, and activities to expand your English skills to where you want them to be. Whether you want to focus on vocabulary, grammar, college writing skills, or any other specific area, we will use a holistic approach to reach your goals.
My lessons will best suit multilingual college undergraduate and graduate students who are either taking English classes or studying at an English-speaking university. High school students are also welcome!
