About Elizabeth
I work as both an educator and a professional dementia care provider. During my undergraduate, I volunteered to teach in Perú and worked online teaching ESL to students of all ages and levels for over 6 years. My education has given me the confidence to tutor other subjects such as biology, psychology, neuroscience, genetics and Spanish. My interests and education in psychology have made me insightful when planning out your curriculum. I use different teaching methods, according to my student’s learning styles, so that they get the most out of each and every lesson with me.

Hi there, my name is Liz, and I am TEFL certified with over 5 years of mixed experience teaching in-class and online ESL to students of all ages and levels. I graduated cum laude from Dalhousie University with a Bachelor of Science (major in Neuroscience/minor in Spanish Language). I like to travel and have been to Perú, Ecuador and Colombia on many occasions. This has really helped me apply what I learned while taking Spanish at the university to practical, everyday use. From this experience, I deeply understand what learning a second language is like. This helps me understand by being able to put myself in your shoes. Every student is different, so I believe creating an individualized lesson plan tailored to your specific level and unique learning style is the best and most efficient way to learn.

Liz is my wife and a very smart and skillful teacher. A lot of people don’t have the patience to tutor their significant others but I learned Spanish from her, starting as a complete beginner to the level I’m at now which is intermediate.
