About Dr Theodore M
I have extensive education experience in curriculum development, teacher training and teaching English as a Second or Foreign Language in the United States, the United Kingdom, the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia. I possess further expertise developing curricula for teaching Spanish and French as a Foreign Language, coupled with a broad knowl- edge of instructional design for immigrants, refugees and refugee service providers. I have practical knowledge providing both pre- and in-service training to ESL and EFL instructors. I count amongst my most valuable skills a proficiency, at minimum, in four foreign languages including Span- ish, Jordanian and Moroccan Arabic, French and Sinhala. Furthermore, I am familiar with conducting academic research in the fields of sociolin- guistics and forced migration studies and have excellent academic writing and presentation skills.

With more than 25 years of experience teaching English as a Second Language to students from around the world, I am most comfortable with teaching Arabic, French, and Spanish speakers. While bringing my expertise in pedagogy to the classroom, I also pride myself on making my classroom a fun, worry-free environment.
While the bulk of my experience is with teaching university-aged adults, I have also taught graduate students, non-matriculated adults, high school students, technical college students, and elementary school students.
I can guarantee that you will enjoy my classes so much that oftentimes, you will forget that you are learning English as a Second Language at the same time!
