My approach as a tutor is centered on building confidence, connection, and individualized support for every student. With 7 years of experience in both general and special education, I adapt lessons to each student’s learning style, pace, and academic goals.
I use a supportive, structured teaching style that combines guided practice, step-by-step instruction, study strategies, and positive reinforcement. A typical lesson includes reviewing assignments or goals, breaking down challenging concepts, practicing together, and building independent learning skills.
What sets me apart is my experience supporting diverse learners, including students with autism and executive functioning challenges. That also includes the diversity of students' backgrounds, working with kids from all walks of life. I focus on creating a calm, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and growing academically.
My lessons are designed for school-aged students needing support with homework, study skills, organization, reading and writing tasks, and PSAT preparation.
