About Sophia

My name is Sophia. I love to travel and experience new cultures, which has given me the opportunity to work in language schools in Spain and Germany. I have been accepted to study for my QTS at Durham University in 2026. Having studied three languages in the past, I have extensive grammar practice and a strong understanding of language learning. I enjoy helping students develop their skills, and it brings me great joy to see them improve. I am currently working as an au pair in Germany, which allows me to continue supporting language learning in real-life contexts.

About the lesson

My approach to teaching English consists of structured activities that challenge my students and creativity so all the lessons consist of a variety of activities suited to my students' strengths. The first lesson I always go through a few test questions so I can properly understand the right level of challenge and then I’ll adjust all following lessons accordingly. Each session will feel personal and friendly and we can also work through any specific questions/exam papers you may have, as well.
