As an elementary educator with 28 years of experience, my tutoring approach is rooted in building strong relationships, understanding each learner’s unique strengths, and creating personalized strategies that help students grow academically and emotionally. I focus on developing core learning skills—such as organization, problem‑solving, and metacognition—while also nurturing confidence and motivation. I use a blend of direct instruction, guided practice, hands-on activities, and reflective learning conversations to ensure students understand concepts deeply and can apply them independently.
My tutoring services are ideal for:
Elementary students (Grades 5–8)

While each lesson is customized, sessions generally follow this structure:
Warm-up & Goal Check (5 minutes)
A quick review of previous learning, setting goals, or activating prior knowledge.
Mini-Lesson (10–15 minutes)
Direct instruction on a targeted skill or concept, using clear modeling and examples.
Guided Practice (10–15 minutes)
We work through tasks together, gradually releasing responsibility.
Independent Application (10 minutes)
The student applies the skill independently while I provide feedback and support.
Reflection & Next Steps (5 minutes)
We reinforce what was learned, celebrate progress, and set goals for next time.
