About Ella
My own educational background is strong as I was offered an academic scholarship at an independent school where I attained 10 GCSEs grades 6-9, 4 A-levels consisting of 3 As and an A*, and am currently on track to achieve a first class in my English degree at a top Russell Group university.
Having completed my own school education just over 2 years ago, I can completely relate to the challenges students face. This enables me to build strong working relationships and create a supportive learning environment where students feel understood and therefore are more confident in their ability to succeed.

I have over 4 years of experience as a private English tutor (testimonials available upon request) and have relevant classroom experience. I teach students ages 4-18 and know how important it is to be able to trust someone working with your child, therefore I also hold a valid DBS check.
I understand the importance of catering to individual learning styles and am experienced in teaching students with special educational needs, therefore my approach is extremely flexible. I also believe that it is essential that students develop an understanding of their own learning styles, so I provide tried and tested revision resources and techniques which I encourage students to use outside of lessons.
My lessons are typically 1 hour, but I am more than happy to adapt this depending on individual needs.
