About Celestie
I am based in Sandakan, Sabah and have been volunteering as a community teacher in Sunday School and underprivileged communities for more than 15 years. My experience includes teaching children aged 3 to 6 years old and children with special needs (i.e. Level 1 to Level 3 autism, Asperger's syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, speech delay, developmental motor and cognitive delay).
I am an advocate for teaching the big adult concepts and experiences in a level that is appropriate and relevant to young children (i.e. money lessons, moral conflicts, practical life skills in different places, character development, relationship management) to build early independence. I personally create and design my own study materials (i.e. storybooks, busy books and curriculums) which brings the child through the whole thought process of these lessons from beginning to the end.
