About Lily
Hi, I’m Lily! I’m a friendly and enthusiastic tutor with a First-Class BSc and a Distinction in my Master’s degree, alongside experience as both a teaching assistant and private tutor.
I’ve always genuinely enjoyed learning, but I also understand that academic success isn’t simply about being “good” at a subject. Confidence, organisation, motivation and finding an approach that works for you can make a huge difference.
I aim to create a relaxed and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and identifying areas where we can develop together. I see challenges not as failures, but as useful indicators of where we can focus our attention and build confidence.
I’m approachable, patient and organised, and I take the time to understand each student as an individual. Whether you’re aiming for a particular grade, developing your academic writing, preparing for university or simply want to feel more confident in your studies, my goal is to help you recognise your strengths, develop areas that need support and become a more confident, independent learner.
I hold an Enhanced DBS check.

No two learners are the same, so I don’t believe their tutoring should be either. Every session is bespoke and tailored to your goals, learning style, strengths and areas where you need extra support.
I usually plan sessions in advance to make sure we get the most from our time together, while always staying flexible. Having experienced tutoring myself where I sometimes felt the time wasn’t being used effectively, I’ve built my own approach around purposeful, engaging sessions that help students become more confident and independent learners.
During my own academic journey, I have achieved A*A*A* at Level 3, a First-Class BSc and a Distinction in my MA. I also have experience as a teaching assistant and private tutor, including helping students progress from Grade 3 to Grade 6.
I support secondary, GCSE, A-Level and university students with:
• Psychology, Business Studies, History, Politics and Academic Skills
• Essay and report writing, proofreading and academic skills
• Psychology research skills and university-level support
• Revision, organisation and time management
• Confidence-building and general academic coaching
Sessions last for 50 minutes and start from £25 per hour. I also offer a free initial discovery session so we can discuss what you want to achieve, what works best for you and how I can tailor our sessions accordingly.
