Scott is an extraordinary coach. He is the "bricklayer" of the ballpark. He builds players form the ground up, regardless of their experience or age. Those who have many years experience gain fundamental knowledge, confidence, and a platform from which to continue to excel and achieve their goals. Players with less experience are taught the right approach to the game, and given key essential instruction that will provide their platform to progress and continue in the wonderful game. Scott is a teacher, and a leader. He mandates effort, and so should we all. He is positive, energetic, and highly supportive. He is the coach that spends time away from his family to help the seriously injured player walk again (literally, I have seen it!). Scott is a great fundamentally driven coach that provides feedback in a positive constructive way that each kid can understand and learn from. My son has been mainly a catcher his entire travel experience, but Coach Kelsch saw more in his abilities and gave him the opportunity to excel in other positions which has boosted the confidence level which is highly needed in such a mental sports.
