About Carla

HBCU style and majorette dance team with a focus on technical dance.

I started teaching when I began this dance team for my daughter in 2003.

I was technically trained at Dayton Contemporary Dance Company in Dayton, OH. Our instructors have trained at and performed with the Houston Ballet, The High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, The Houston Metropolitan, Sam Houston State University, Rockets Power Dancers and others.

About the lesson

New students may attend a free majorette class on Monday or Wednesdays. They can also attend $5 drop-in classes on Tuesdays and choose from Ballet, Jazz Technique, Tumbling for Dancers or the Choreographer's Master Class.

We've worked with students ages 4 - college, males and females.

Check their credentials. Dance is movement and everybody can move. But not everyone can properly train your child in dance technique. Prevent injury and give your child a foundation in dance that will prepare them to continue to the formal and/or professional dance world.

We were recently asked to dance for the Junion Basketball League. It's been a fun and exciting experience!

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Where did you train? What are your credentials? What are the credentials of your instructors? What type of flooring is in your studio? Which classes do you offer? How do you check progess?
