About Aimee
I started my dance career in 1990, met our instructor in 1993, which they introduced us to the competition world, UCWDC (United Country Western Dance Council). We competed across the country from 1996 to 2003 ending the competition world in Nashville, TN at the World Competition. Learning to dance and competing was one of the best experiece of my life, which has lead me to where I am today, teaching others the art of dancing.
We teach Ballroom, Country, Latin & improv dances in both Couple & Line dances. Dances taught are Foxtrot, Two Step, Cha Cha, Rumba, Night Club II, Salsa, Hustle, Waltz, Dbl II, ECS, WCS, Single Time & 4-Ct Swing. We teach guys to lead with confidence & the ladies to follow with patience. I've choreographed many 1st dances for the bride & groom & often worked with their parents. I've taught at company & birthday parties, corporate & social events. I have a group of dancers that love to showcase their dances at care centers and at the Iowa state fair. And finally i hold dance parties at the end of every month.
I'm very passionate about dancing and very blessed that i have the opportunity to teach what i love to do. It's very exciting as an instructor watching students that have never been on the dance floor to students developing into confident dancers.
What does it take to get you started? It takes time, patients, understanding, brain work, technique, wanting to move past the beginning level and a phone call to get started 😃. All this leads into confidence, socializing, dance parties and fun💃🕺

I have taken lessons from world renowned dance instructors. Competed around the country from 1990 to 2003, I've taught at the Dsm Ballroom for a few years and the Madhat Ballroom for a year.

My job when meeting new students is to ease their anxiety help them to be comfortable and feel great about their decision to take dance lessons. When working with a couple i would start with working on the dance of their choice, we talk about rhythm counts foot work and how to frame up together. We talk about the technique it takes to lead and to follow and if it's a line dancer start with a beginner line dance and stay at a beginner level but gradually challenge them to higher level of dances when they're ready.
