About Kellyann
I began student teaching when I was 16. I started with levels I and II ballet/tap, and moved to more advanced classes as I gained more experience teaching on my own.
I've been dancing for 18 years -- ballet, modern, jazz, tap, hip hop, Latin, and swing. Along with regular classes, I took private lessons with a professional dancer during high school, student taught after graduation, and received a BA in Dance from Radford University. I studied technique, composition, methods of teaching, and the history and philosophy of dance.
I've been in two performing companies and I currently teach and choreograph at a private studio.

I ask questions -- why do you dance? Why did you begin dancing in the first place? How do you feel when you're dancing? I ask about their goals so we can shape the classes around the student's personal goals, my goals for them, and then marry that with the beauty and rich history of dance.
I've worked with a variety of students -- 3-year-olds to 80-year-olds, students with physical disabilities and learning disabilities, private schools, and title 1 schools. I've loved them all; my students teach me just as much as I teach them.

She has such a great experience with dancing and she’s an amazing dancer. I love working with her because she’s helped my dancing skills a lot and I see improvement with myself, with her helping me. She comes up with great choreography and has some really helpful tips. I also love how passionate she is about dancing!
She is very fun to work with. She is very kind and gentle person and she treats us very nicely. When we don’t understand the steps then she do it again and again to make it perfect etc.
