About Scott
I have over 10 years of diverse engineering experience and have been involved in medical device development, industrial automation systems design, and academic research focused on orthopedic biomechanics, among other things! During my time as a graduate student, I had the opportunity to serve as the primary instructor for several courses and instructional laboratories. I have extensive teaching experience both in-person and online, using tools like Zoom.
I enjoy incorporating my experience as a practicing engineer to demonstrate the practical implementation of the theory developed in STEM courses, thereby answering ever student's favorite question... "When am I ever going to use this in real life?"
I have a Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, and a Ph.D. (all of which are in biomedical engineering from Florida Institute of Technology). I discovered my passion for teaching during my tenure at FIT, where I taught several of the undergraduate courses and laboratories as part of my duties as a graduate student assistant.
