About Linda

An exceptional teacher/tutor/trainer/coach/guide/advocate who has taught K-12 in Maryland and 3 continents:

* pre-K through 12th grade (hearing, hearing impaired, autism spectrum, learning and/or physical challenges)

* adults who work for corporations and federal government or who want to advance a personal passion, like writing a book.

* 12th graders preparing college applications and essays.

Joy comes from making life easier, clearer, or simpler for a fellow human being whether I have helped a child, an adolescent, or an adult to:

**understand a new concept

**see an important or useful connection

**speak with greater clarity

**read with greater understanding

**write a grammatically correct sentence, a simple note, a superior story, letter, essay, application, report, or book.

My father's mother taught and consulted with physicians and parents of kids with special needs.

Both my parents were superb lipreaders, but could not hear. Often, when called upon to interpret for them in sign language, there was the need to explain a concept, or synthesize and simplify a large amount of information.

I received a lot of feedback from those, especially professionals (doctors, lawyers, etc.) who observed me teaching their children or explaining to my parents, and remarking the skill I demonstrated teaching.

Bachelors, Masters, Doctorate in Education.

Teaching and tutoring successes in the United States and overseas.
