About STEPHANIE
Originally earning a Masters in Education at the University of Santa Barbara, CA in 2010, I am currently a full time literacy instructor based in Portland OR. My passion lies in an individualized approach to educating others, implementing various learning approaches and instilling new skills based on each child's unique needs. I specialize in creating an individualized plan to help you or your child meet reading and writing goals at any grade level.

With ten plus years experience in working with children and adolescents of all ages, backgrounds, and needs, I am well versed in several phonics, reading, writing, and vocabulary programs that will help any learner reach their potential. Former clients include those struggling with ADHD, dyslexia, autism, ESL, non-readers, and simply those that have fallen behind. Once a clients' areas of needs are identified in the first few sessions, a customized lesson plan with a step-by-step approach toward improvement will be created and fostered.
My one-on-one sessions are focused and intensive, my success rates high, and my rapport with students excellent with a big focus on implementing fun and mutual respect. Victor Hugo once said, "To learn to read is to light a fire, every syllable that is spelled out a spark". My aim is to spark long-term interest and motivation in each of my students so that they may succeed in all areas of literacy and beyond.
