About Torrey
Hello! I'm Torrey Boley and I've been an English teacher for seven years. I've taught in three states- Wyoming, Nebraska, and Utah- and I have taught grades 7-12. I have a lot of experience that I would love to share with you! I love to read and I can help you to understand everything from Harry Potter to Shakespeare.
This is my first year as a tutor and I am really looking forward to it! I loved teaching in the classroom, but I want more time with each student and an opportunity to really understand what you need. I've prepared several classes for the ACT, college courses, and state standardized testing. Whatever your goal, I can help!
I love being a teacher. I love helping students see that being an effective communicator will help them no matter where they go in life. I want to help students feel empowered in their writing and comprehension so they don't feel like they have to resort to AI to do their work! Writing and expressing your thoughts should be fun! Let me show you how to make that happen.
