About Lisa
I am currently a first grade teacher in the Newport Mesa Unified School District, bringing over 17 years of teaching experience and a deep commitment to early childhood education. Holding a master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, I am dedicated to fostering a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young learners.
My recent completion of the Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling (LETRS) certification has equipped me with advanced knowledge in the science of reading. This certification has enhanced my ability to implement evidence-based reading and spelling strategies, ensuring that each child receives the support they need to become proficient readers and writers.
Throughout my career, my goal has been to help each student reach their personal goals. I strive to cultivate a classroom atmosphere where students feel confident in their abilities and are excited about the process of learning. By using a variety of instructional strategies tailored to individual learning styles, I aim to engage students and ignite a passion for discovery and growth.
I am committed to continuous professional development and staying abreast of the latest educational research and practices. My dedication to early childhood education is driven by the belief that a strong foundation in the early years sets the stage for lifelong learning and success.
