About David
-- Graduate of Brown University (BA, International Relations '88) and Stanford Graduate School of Business (MBA '94)
-- Thirty years of Wall Street experience (M&A, Leveraged Finance, Private Equity)
-- Have tutored throughout Brown (to local HS students in Providence, RI) and Stanford (on campus undergrads) to earn extra money for tuition etc
-- Have assisted students in both undergrad applications (essays, etc) and Business School application process (I was admitted to Harvard Business School and Wharton as well)
-- I take a light-hearted and easy going approach to make learning enjoyable.
-- As father of two (grown) children, I am adept at teaching/coaching the "art of studying" (ie, how to set up your desk, notebooks, create a calendar to attack projects/tests/essays timely).
-- Easing into retirement and enjoy very much helping out students. I may have gotten it from MY father as he was my most patient, helpful and kind tutor throughout K-12 (and a darned smart man at that).
-- Miscellaneous: Championship diver (springboard and platform, former US National champ (decades ago!), competed at 1980 and 1984 Olympic Trials. Started at age 6 and kept it up through undergrad.
