About Jahkiya

I am currently enrolled in MATC, in the process of obtaining my associates in education. I am also a part time tutor. I have been doing tutoring for about 9 years now. When I was growing up I not learned at an average level but excelled at certain subjects while unknowingly battled with other issues while in school. When I was attending they didn't have names for it. We now know that it's called autism or other things that can be a burden on a person who doesn't know how to manage it at an early age. There are moments where I know now instead of my out but and other reactions what I could have done. My parents always pushed me harder do to this. The little girl that everyone thought was weird it was different turned out. My goal is to help other children cope with and find methods or ways to communicate their feelings and what they can accept they can't while building confidence. Showing them that they, just like myself was Awe- tistic, the entire time.

I have been deciding what to do for my business that I have started a way to give back but not through a book, but through a person that beat the odds who has the same learning patterns they have and doing the opposite of what people who couldn't understand do for me. I am currently enrolled in college but decided to focus more on building a system that could help children mainly in the less fortunate neighborhoods who never really knew of mental health issues or who's parents grew up in an time where there was only judgement or being seen as the bad child and given punishment which never helped for me but I know can help another child understand in a stage where they are building character manage their feelings, notice the signs while still focusing on completing learning assignments. Knowing the methods that worked for me and help children embrace themselves so that they don't let being different keep them from being great. I myself know from my own son and my self help that autistic children or children with different learning methods happen to be the smartest and they're are in fact not behind the crowd but so advanced that they sometimes their energetic bodies are match for the genius thoughts they have.
