About Tracy
My current full time job is as a special education teacher at Orange-Ulster BOCES. I have certifications in special education, adolescent English, and literacy. My professional experience the past seven years has been specializing in reading intervention, as well as working with students with emotional disturbance, ADHD, learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and PTSD from trauma. I can work with students on reading fluency, reading comprehension, writing, vocabulary acquisition, American history, middle grade math and science, and social-emotional skills. I graduated with a B.S. in Adolescent Education and English from SUNY Oswego in 2009, and with a masters in special education and literacy from SUNY New Paltz in 2012. I have great rapport with parents and students, and believe greatly in positive behavior rewards as motivation.
