About Mackenzie
Hello! I am a student at the University of Central Florida, majoring in International and Global Studies with a minor in Journalism Studies. I am also in the process of completing my TEFL certificate. My background in writing, reading, and research has equipped me with the skills necessary to effectively communicate and engage with diverse learners. Currently, I am undertaking an enriching internship through UCF, where I conduct research and collaborate with individuals from various cultural backgrounds. Additionally, I am involved in service learning with The Multicultural Classroom (TMC), where I teach intermediate Haitian ESL students. I recently volunteered with the COLORS program, facilitating conversation hours to help students practice speaking skills. My studies provide a solid foundation for tutoring allowing me to explore innovative ways to create a positive learning environment for students to learn at their own pace and express themselves freely. I have a genuine passion for teaching and enjoy learning from my students.
