About Keren
Hello, my name’s Keren! I’m a theatre artist living in Washington DC who recently graduated with a degree in musical theatre performance. My degree has given me extensive training in acting and singing, and my life and schoolwork have given me extensive practice in writing, both formal and informal, primarily through playwriting and grant writing. I’m also an avid bookworm! My favorite subject in school was always literature. I love how a text can come to life in my head and that one story can have a thousand different understandings or interpretations.
As a student, I always wanted to understand the why behind what I was doing, not just the how. To me, it is always easier to apply technique when I understand the inner workings of what I am supposed to be doing. As a tutor, I aim to help my students fully understand the techniques they use so that they can not only use it when the need arises, but also adjust the techniques to fit different and unexpected situations.
I love what I do and I look forward to working with you and sharing that love!
