I am a passionate piano instructor with 14 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Music in Collaborative Piano. My teaching philosophy centres on interactive learning, helping students connect with music in a meaningful and intentional way. I believe that building technical skill and expressive ability should go hand in hand.
Lessons are tailored to each student’s goals and learning style, whether they are a beginner or preparing for advanced performance. Exam preparation for ABRSM, Rockschool, and A-Level music is carefully planned, combining structured practice with targeted guidance. I also introduce music history, so students connect with the pieces they play and understand different styles and periods.
Creative skills like composition and improvisation are encouraged, allowing students to develop their own musical ideas. I support those who enjoy experimenting with jazz harmonies or pop arrangements, helping them excel in their chosen style. Lessons are tailored to each student’s goals, pace, and interests.
