About Laurel
I am a patient and motivated Piano tutor with 13 years of experience teaching students at all skill levels. Over the years, I have successfully trained around 150 students, helping them improve technique, rhythm, and musical awareness. My teaching philosophy focuses on clarity and consistency. Lessons are tailored to each student’s learning pace and goals. Beginners focus on basic piano techniques and note reading.
Intermediate and advanced students develop coordination, accuracy, expression, and performance skills. I include music theory, ear training, and sight-reading to strengthen overall musicianship. Collaboration helps students feel involved in their learning journey. I encourage questions, discussions, and active participation during lessons. Students also help choose learning material, which keeps them motivated. Practice routines are explained in simple steps.
Positivity shapes my teaching environment. I motivate students through encouragement and patient guidance. Mistakes are handled calmly and used as learning moments.
