About Nicholas

I am a graduated finance student (distinction) with 4 years of experience within Private Wealth Management. I am currently pursuing my CFA designation and am working as an analyst, with a focus on private investment products. I have a passion for all areas of finance. I speak English, and am semi-fluent in French. I have completed my Canadian Securities Course and CFA Level 2.

About the lesson

Lessons available for: Canadian Securities Course, CFA Level 2, Undergraduate Finance, High School Economics/Finance/Accounting/Business I employ a real-world approach to financial topics. More often than not, finance textbooks overcomplicate topics at hand, leaving the student with a barrier between the textbook and reality. I aim to put the student in the shoes of an individual whose decisions are affected by the finance theory being studied. If we can boil a topic down to running a lemonade stand, we can surely understand it. Typical lesson plans follow: - provide me with topics & questions requiring study beforehand - begin with an overview of the topic and terminology associated - seek to understand fundamental terminology / calculations to apply to lesson - walk through a real-world example. Aim to have the student as the "problem solver / decision maker" within the question - finalize with follow-up questions / conversations to solidify learning - review beginning overview
