About David

"Holding a BSc Finance from the University of Chicago Booth means you learn to prioritize logic over trends when analyzing financial markets or bonds and equities. Cost of capital and capital budgeting require a specific mindset that I have refined over 7 years.

You want to understand the mechanics behind the numbers. Over the course of teaching 367 students, I have seen how risk and return calculations often confuse those without a firm grasp of CFA foundations. Financial statement analysis and DCF valuation are tools meant to solve problems rather than just generate homework answers. I keep my explanations grounded in the realities of the professional world."

"Slow pacing usually creates the best results when you are trying to master complex DCF valuation or technical bonds and equities analysis. Speed matters less than precision. My 7 years of experience in finance dictate that we stop frequently to stress test your internal logic before moving to the next spreadsheet model. Financial markets require patience.

We revisit cost of capital until the math becomes second nature. Capital budgeting should feel like a puzzle rather than a chore. Seeing the lightbulb moment when someone understands financial statement analysis makes this work rewarding."
