About Katya
Hi, I’m Katya! I am a visual artist with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from University of British Columbia Okanagan (UBCO). Art has been a central part of my life since childhood, and I’ve explored a wide range of mediums and techniques over the years. My main areas of expertise include drawing, painting, printmaking (such as Lithography, Etching, and Linocut), and digital illustration using Procreate. Alongside visual art, I love to read, write, sing, dance, and bake — I’m passionate about all forms of creative expression and bring that same sense of curiosity and joy into my teaching. I strive to create an encouraging and accessible learning environment where students feel comfortable experimenting, making mistakes, and developing their unique artistic voice. Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to strengthen your portfolio, I’ll meet you at your skill level and guide you step-by-step with patience, structure, and creativity.
