About Donya
Hi! I'm a recent grad from the University of Bristol with a 1st in English Lit- soon to be studying Law at the Uni of Cambridge. I have an excellent knowledge of literature, analysis and essay writing and I am well equipped to help any student improve their grades in English Literature and Language. I have experience with the IB syllabus so I am very happy to teach students who have chosen to study HL or SL English Lit. with the IB diploma. I am also very happy to help students with their university applications, especially with Oxbridge interviews/UCAS/Personal Statements etc.

My teaching methods depend on the student, but I tend to opt for developing writing and comprehension skills through reading activities and frequent essay writing. For younger students we will focus on SPaG and expanding vocabulary and comprehension skills, for older students we will focus on skills of analysis and essay techniques. Whilst I always pay close attention to exam syllabuses and cater to the requirements of them, I have also found that analysing poetry and literature outside of school curriculums is a great way to foster a critical and analytical mind in students.
