I am a recent first-class graduate from Durham University. Here, I absolutely loved studying English Literature. I have had the chance to delve into books from every genre, generation, and author, so I can cater to anything you need help with.
Also, I have gone through these processes recently, as a student, I have not forgotten how difficult these times were, therefore, I am capable of supporting you through the process.

Typically my lessons are one hour long.
We begin by diving into work, whether by analysing a poem or looking at a comprehension, and discussing the best way to attack a potential exam question. Once we have nailed the content, we move on to practicing writing the answer together. This includes analysing a mark scheme, so that the student is aware about what they are getting marked on, and then using this information to write an answer together. Once the student is confident on the skills included in the answer, they have ago on their own. We work to build up their knowledge, skills, and confidence simultaneously.
I have tutored for students from 11-16 but am happy to also do A-level or Degree Level tutoring.
So far, my students have gone above and beyond their own expectations with my most recent student achieving full-marks in his English literature paper 1 GCSE.
