About Prisha
Hello, I am an 18-year-old Law with Legal Practice student at Bournemouth University. I, like yourselves, have prepared for the 11+ and while it may seem a lot for you as a student and your families, I assure you my job as your tutor is to make the experience much smoother and enjoyable.
I completed my 11+ and went to Dartford Grammar School For Girls where I passed all my GCSEs with outstanding marks, and went on to do my A levels at Mayfield Grammar School For Girls where I studied Psychology, Economics and Chemistry.
All my sessions will be personally shaped for my student and their needs, my lessons are all interactive and fun.
Academically, I challenge all my students to ensure their full potential comes out and they can achieve results they deserve.
As a tutor, it is my top priority to become a mentor for my student and a supporting pole for their families.
My goal is to ensure my student have outstanding academic performance but also find confidence and enjoyment in their studies.

My approach to teaching is structured, supportive, a safe environment for growth and focused on building confidence with sharp exam skills. To start off with I would assess my student's current level to identify their strengths and areas of improvement. To focus on 11+ preparations, I would prioritise English skills such as comprehension, vocabulary development, grammar, and creative writing. I break down complex topics into simple, manageable steps and use examples and practice questions to ensure smooth lessons and clear understanding. During lessons, I encourage active participation by asking questions, discussing texts together, and guiding students through problem-solving rather than simply giving answers. This helps students develop critical thinking and independent learning skills. I also weekly ensure there are exam style questions, mock tests, with the format of the 11+ exams and build confidence in working under time pressure. After each lesson, I provide constructive feedback and suggest areas for further practice. My end goal is to make an individual's English stronger as a whole for academic performance but also for confidence and enjoyment.
