About Maddie
Hi! I’m Maddie, a recent law school graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from Texas State University, where I graduated magna cum laude. I’ve always had a passion for reading, writing, and storytelling, and my academic background has given me a strong foundation in research, critical thinking, literary analysis, and written communication.
Throughout college and law school, I’ve spent countless hours reading complex texts, developing arguments, writing research papers, and learning how to communicate ideas clearly and effectively. I also studied theater, which helped foster my love for creative writing, character development, and exploring the deeper meanings behind stories.
I understand firsthand how challenging academic writing and difficult reading assignments can be, and I know how much of a difference the right guidance can make. I’m patient, approachable, and detail-oriented, and I take pride in creating a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and improving at their own pace.
Whether you’re looking to improve your grades, prepare for college-level writing, strengthen your analytical skills, or simply become a more confident reader and writer, I’m excited to help you reach your goals!

I believe that being a great writer isn’t just about knowing grammar rules or writing the perfect essay. It’s about learning how to think critically, express yourself confidently, and find your own voice!
With a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications and a law degree, I’ve spent years developing my skills in writing, research, reading comprehension, and literary analysis. I also have a background in theatre and creative writing, so I love approaching literature and storytelling from different perspectives!
My lessons are personalized to each student’s needs, whether that means breaking down a complicated piece of classic literature, brainstorming ideas for a creative writing project, strengthening an essay, or learning how to analyze a text beyond its surface meaning.
I know how frustrating it can be to stare at a blank page or read the same paragraph five times without understanding it. That’s why I focus on making lessons relaxed, encouraging, and interactive. I’m not here to just correct your work or give you the answers. I want to help you understand why something works, develop skills you can use independently, and feel more confident tackling your next assignment.
Most importantly, I want students to leave our lessons feeling more capable, more creative, and maybe even a little more excited about reading and writing!
