About Jeric
Hello! I’m Jeric. I'm an editor and creative professional who helps students improve their fluency in English without stress or complication. With 10+ years experience working in literature, art, food, and design, I help students build clear, confident, and natural English. I love language and I'm passionate about teaching! Whether you want practice in conversational English, studying for exams, or preparing for an important presentation for work, our lessons together will be welcoming and fun! What we practice together will always fit your real life and goals.
I recently completed my 190-hour Level 5 TEFL Certification through the International TEFL Academy (Feb. 2026).
My background is in writing and communication, which means I focus on how English actually works in context: tone, rhythm, nuance, and intention. Whether you want to improve conversation, professional writing, creative expression, or reading comprehension, I tailor lessons to how you think and what you care about. I have a Master of Fine Arts degree in English Creative Writing from Pacific Lutheran University, where I graduated with a Certificate in Pedagogy (Teaching). Before that, I studied Speech and Hearing Sciences at the University of Washington.

I help professionals, academics, and creatives improve their English communication with confidence.
I’ve worked with people from many cultures and industries, and I believe learning English should feel collaborative, human, and energizing—not stressful or mechanical.
My lessons focus on professional communication, presentations, academic discussions, and natural conversation. I also support researchers, graduate students, and creative professionals who want to communicate their ideas clearly in English.
Whether you want to improve workplace communication, academic presentations, or speaking fluency, lessons are personalized and focused on real-world situations. In our lessons, we might analyze an art piece, revise a piece of writing, practice natural conversation, or prepare for a specific goal like interviews or presentations.
I work with adult learners from beginner to advanced levels, creating supportive lessons that help you communicate clearly and confidently. If you’re looking for a teacher who is encouraging, who treats language as a living tool—and who values curiosity, culture, and creativity—I’d love to work with you.
