About Ruby
My name is Ruby and i'm currently studying A level English Lit, Politics and Philosophy, Ethics and Christianity. I really love my subjects and I think that my school experience helps me plan effective and genuinely useful lessons, as teachers sometimes can't provide every student with the specific help they need. I have personally found that student tutors were more helpful for me when I was completing my GCSEs as they were able to offer a relatable insight to learning and a more understandable explanation of what needs to be done.

I am very flexible with hours, sessions can be as long or short as you would like but the default is an hour long session. Before I begin tutoring a new student I talk to them about how they would prefer to learn and revise in order to make the sessions work for them and therefore as effective as possible. I then plan lessons according to the students specific needs. My lessons are typically for GCSE students as I am very familiar with the course having recently done it myself and receiving a grade 9. However I am more than happy to plan lessons for younger students as well. As a student myself I can provide a viewpoint that my students can relate to and they tend to be more willing to utilise the help offered.
