About Xander

I'm a 19 year old first year student at the University of Birmingham, studying Materials Science and Engineering. I am deeply interested in current affairs, politics, economics and sustainability outside of the Geography specification. I provided tutoring to most of my A-Level Geography class, including pre-exam crash courses, flashcard decks (although these may not be helpful to pass on considering variations in case studies between schools and specifications) and group support. Although I no longer study it, I've always had a real passion for Geography and pedagogy!

In my free time, I love long walks/hikes, playing music, reading and research.

About the lesson

I am most familiar with the current AQA Geography specification and would be more than happy to tutor students doing any A-Level, GCSE or iGCSE specification. I will focus on making statistics stick, structuring answers optimally and making sure that tutees can get the very top grades as a result.

I personally have a large breadth of knowledge applicable to A-Level across politics, economics and sustainability I would be more than happy to share, up to case study level (in case of missing or insufficient ones being given within the classroom). I am happy to tutor students doing other similar courses if these are still applicable. I'm happy to give recommendations for revision techniques, with a focus on improving a tutee's weakest areas first.
