About Johnston
Hi, I’m Johnston, an engineering student at Georgia Tech. I love learning new things and understanding how things work, and I enjoy sharing that curiosity with my students. I have experience tutoring middle school, high school, and entry-level college math, and I’m passionate about helping students build confidence, enjoy problem-solving, and truly understand the concepts behind the math.

I help students truly understand math through patient, step-by-step problem solving. My approach is clear, engaging, and tailored to each student’s pace, making learning both effective and fun.
In a typical lesson, we review key concepts, solve problems together, and practice independently with guidance and feedback. I focus on understanding the “why” behind each method, not just memorizing steps.
I tutor middle and high school math, including pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and calculus, as well as introductory college-level math. What sets me apart is my patience, clarity, and commitment to making math enjoyable while building confidence and lasting skills.
