About Yushua

My name is Yushua, and I attend Manchester Grammar School, one of the top schools in the country. I have a strong academic background, having achieved grades 8 and 9 across all my GCSEs, and I’ve been tutoring since I was 15—starting with 11+ preparation and later expanding to GCSE subjects. I specialise in English Literature, English Language, Maths, and the Sciences, helping students build confidence and improve their understanding. Beyond academics, I have a passion for writing poetry in my spare time, which has helped me develop strong analytical and communication skills—both essential for teaching. I’m also a big football fan and support FC Barcelona. As a younger tutor, I find it easy to connect with students, making learning more engaging and approachable. My goal is to help students not only improve their grades but also develop a deeper understanding of their subjects in a way that feels natural and enjoyable.

About the lesson

I believe I would be an excellent tutor because I have both the academic credentials and teaching experience necessary to support students effectively. At 17, I have been tutoring for over two years, starting with 11+ preparation at 15 and expanding to GCSE content after completing my own exams. Having achieved grades 8 and 9 across all my subjects, I have a strong understanding of the material and the techniques needed to succeed. As a younger tutor, I can connect with students more easily, understanding their challenges and explaining concepts in a way that feels approachable and engaging. I specialise in English Literature, English Language, Maths, and the Sciences, tailoring my teaching to each student’s needs to build confidence and improve performance. My experience working with different age groups has helped me develop a patient and adaptable teaching style, ensuring that every student makes meaningful progress.
